HIGHLIGHTS
A look at the originals, exclusives, and premieres that are part of the Hulu March 2024 lineup.
Dreamin’ Wild (2022 – Streaming March 1)
“Dreamin’ Wild,” the true story of love and redemption, is about what happened to singer/songwriter Donnie Emerson and his family when the album he and his brother recorded as teens was rediscovered after thirty years of obscurity and was suddenly hailed by music critics as a lost masterpiece.
While the album’s rediscovery brings hopes of second chances, it also brings long-buried emotions as Donnie, his wife Nancy, brother Joe, and father Don Sr. come to terms with the past and their newly found fame.
MasterChef Junior: Season 9 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 5)
This season, the judging panel welcomes Tilly Ramsay, who will join her father, award-winning chef, host, and executive producer Gordon Ramsay. Acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and Emmy-winning TV host Daphne Oz also return as judges.
MasterChef Junior follows young home cooks between the ages of 8 and 13 who compete in a series of challenges to win the title of America’s next MasterChef Junior, taking home a trophy and $100,000 in prize money.
So You Think You Can Dance: Season 18 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 5)
This season, during the auditions round, the judging panel – inclusive of Allison Holker, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Comfort Fedoke – will audition dancers from across the country as they showcase their talent in a wide array of dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom and more, in hopes of securing one of ten coveted spots on the show.
Hosted by Cat Deeley, Season 18 will infuse the long-running hit with a new format reflecting the authentic experience of building a successful career in dance, as so many “So You Think You Can Dance” alums have. Each week, contestants will compete in new, intense dance challenges that will give them a real taste of the career, from performing in a music video or a football halftime show to going toe-to-toe on stage with a Broadway performer.
In the end, it will be up to the judges to decide their fate. Eliminations will take place weekly, with the Top 3 finalists competing in the season’s spectacular finale, but only one will win the $100,000 grand prize and the highly coveted title of “So You Think You Can Dance” champion.
This season will also debut new storytelling elements to capture further the authentic ups and downs experienced by professional dancers. For the first time ever, in addition to the big spectacle dance numbers that “So You Think You Can Dance” has long been famous for, viewers will get a documentary-style inside look at the contestants’ dynamics, following them throughout the competition as they go through their personal and competitive journeys, including the daily struggles, new relationships, personality clashes and more.
Queens: Docuseries Premiere (National Geographic – Streaming March 5)
Guided by award-winning actress Angela Bassett’s powerful narration, the upcoming series “Queens” showcases the wildest places on the planet that have always been home to powerful leaders.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit: Season 2 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 6)
A character-driven police procedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit (MPU). When police officer Nikki Batista’s son goes missing, she joins the special unit to help other people find their loved ones, even as she searches for her own.
“Alert: Missing Persons Unit” is a procedural drama with a heart-pounding, life-or-death search for a missing person in each episode, running alongside Nikki and her ex-husband’s quest to find out the truth about their long-lost son. It’s a case-of-the-week show with a case-of-a-lifetime story running through it — a story that alternately brings the two main characters gut-wrenching heartache and heart-pounding joy.
Extraordinary: Complete Season 2 (Hulu Original – Streaming March 6)
Season two picks up where season one spectacularly left off, following Jen (Máiréad Tyers) on her powers journey as she enrolls as a client at the power clinic. Jen soon discovers that the process of finding her power isn’t as easy as she hoped, and things in the rest of her life aren’t sailing smoothly either.
Ex-cat and now-boyfriend Jizzlord (Luke Rollason) has had an unexpected revelation about his past. Kash (Bilal Hasna) and Carrie (Sofia Oxenham) are attempting to be totally mature and dignified about their breakup, which is not easy when they’re still living under the same roof. It seems that Jen and the gang are dealing with new levels of adulting and chaos that none of them are prepared for.
The Cleaning Lady: Season 3 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 6)
“The Cleaning Lady” is a thrilling and emotionally driven character drama about a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for medical treatment to save her ailing son. However, when the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she refuses to be beaten down and marginalized.
Instead, she becomes a cleaning lady for organized crime, using her cunning and intelligence to forge her own path in the criminal underworld.
Animal Control: Season 2 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 7)
The single-camera series follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Joel McHale stars as Frank, an opinionated, eccentric Animal Control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room.
A former cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, which may explain why he’s so cynical and curmudgeonly. He has an almost superhuman ability to understand animals. Humans…not so much.
The Masked Singer: Season 11 Premiere (FOX – Streaming March 7)
Season 11 of “The Masked Singer” returns as superstar singer-songwriter Rita Ora joins panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and Robin Thicke, alongside host Nick Cannon, for all-new theme nights and performances from a new group of masked celebrity singers!
The Stones and Brian Jones (2023 – Streaming March 14)
“The Stones and Brian Jones” is the latest from Nick Broomfield (“Kurt and Courtney,” “Marianne and Leonard: Words of Love”), a deep-diving profile of the founder and lost creative genius of The Rolling Stones. Featuring candid interviews with the Rolling Stones and truly incredible never-before-seen footage, this captivating documentary explores how Brian Jones, the genius founder of the greatest rock band in the world, was left behind in the shadows of history.
9-1-1: Season 7 Premiere (ABC – Streaming March 15)
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear reimagine the procedural drama with “9-1-1.” The series explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders — including police officers, firefighters, and dispatchers — who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking, and heart-stopping situations.
These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense, and uplifting at the same time.
Grey’s Anatomy: Season 20 Premiere (ABC – Streaming March 15)
Recipient of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Television Series and nominated for multiple Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, “Grey’s Anatomy” is considered one of the great television shows of our time. The high-intensity medical drama, now approaching its 20th season, follows a team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial who are faced with life-or-death decisions on a daily basis.
They seek comfort from one another and, at times, more than just friendship. Together, they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.
Station 19: Season 7 Premiere (ABC – Streaming March 15)
“Station 19” follows a group of heroic Seattle firefighters as they put their lives and hearts on the line. From the executive producers of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and “How to Get Away with Murder,” the series takes us inside the tough, tight-knit, and sometimes heartbreaking world of the city’s bravest first responders.
Photographer: Season 1 Premiere (National Geographic – Streaming March 19)
“Photographer” takes us on a journey alongside the world’s most extraordinary visual storytellers. Each hour-long episode follows the life of an iconic photographer, from childhood and career beginnings to present-day life and endeavors. Through interwoven backstory, archival, interview, and verité footage of their current mission, viewers will gain a deeper understanding of each photographer’s process, how they found themselves behind the camera, and how iconic images are made.
Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told: Documentary Premiere (Hulu Original – Streaming March 21)
From executive producers Luke Campbell, Jermaine Dupri, and 21 Savage and masterfully crafted by Mass Appeal & Swirl Films, “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told” is a celebratory exploration of the boisterous times of Freaknik, the iconic Atlanta street party that drew hundreds of thousands of people in the 1980s and 90s and helped put Atlanta on the map culturally.
What began as a Black college cookout soon became known for lurid tales of highway hookups and legendary late-night parties that ultimately led to the festival’s downfall. At its height, Freaknik was a traffic-stopping, city-shuttering juggernaut that has since become a cult classic.
Rooted deep in its history of Civil Rights, thriving Black leadership, and focus on the uplifting of Black culture and education, Atlanta became the only place a festival like this could grow and thrive. Though it ceased over two decades ago, the infamous legacy still resonates through nostalgia and a new generation’s longing for a carefree platform that celebrates and promotes Black excellence, joy, and fortitude.
Featuring appearances by 21 Savage, Lil Jon, Killer Mike, Jalen Rose, Too $hort, Shanti Das, former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Erick Sermon, CeeLo Green, Rico Wade, Kenny Burns, and more, the film offers an intimate glimpse into an enduring legacy, while acknowledging the complexities it introduced into the social fabric and leaving an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of Atlanta and beyond.
Davey & Jonesie’s Locker: Complete Season 1 (Hulu Original – Streaming March 22)
The original series follows Davey and Jonesie, two lovably eccentric best friends who have always felt out of step with their peers and the banal backdrop of their high school existence. So, when they discover their locker is actually a portal to the multiverse, they’re more than ready to escape their teenage prison of mediocrity in favor of new horizons.
But the joke is on them when they only end up in bizarre, alternate versions of their high school, surrounded by offbeat versions of their classmates. Fortunately, these audacious and creative besties are ready to make the most of this vacation from reality by leaving their mark on every universe they visit…even if it means choosing interdimensional chaos while they’re at it. Worth it for the vibes.
DC League of Super-Pets (2022 – Streaming March 26)
When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto, the Super-Dog, forms a rescue team of superpowered shelter pets.
Montana Story (2022 – Streaming March 26)
From the acclaimed writer/directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel (“What Maisie Knew,” “The Deep End”) comes a neo-Western with an emotional tremor hiding beneath it. Two estranged siblings (Haley Lu Richardson and Owen Teague) return home to the sprawling ranch they once knew and loved, confronting a deep and bitter family legacy against a mythic American backdrop.
Cult Justice: Complete Season 1 (Streaming March 28)
“Cult Justice” explores the magnetic power of criminal cult leaders—and the dramatic investigations that finally brought them to justice. Through the lens of the criminal justice system, every episode takes viewers deep inside a different modern-day cult.
And—from sex trafficking and forced labor to extortion, polygamy, and even murder—introduces the journalists, law enforcement agents, and prosecutors who gradually built the case against them. Meanwhile, brave survivors share first-hand accounts of how they were born or lured into the fold by twisted ideologies and false promises—and how they ultimately helped bring down these false prophets who thought they were above the law.
We Were the Lucky Ones: Limited Series Premiere (Hulu Original – Streaming March 28)
Based on Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling novel, the television adaptation of “We Were the Lucky Ones” is a limited series inspired by the incredible true story of one Jewish family separated at the start of WWII. The series follows them across continents as they do everything in their power to survive and reunite.
“We Were the Lucky Ones” demonstrates how, in the face of the twentieth century’s darkest moment, the human spirit can endure and even thrive. The series is a tribute to the triumph of hope and love against all odds.
Fright Krewe: Complete Season 2 (Hulu Original – Streaming March 29)
As the threat of Belial looms large, the Fright Krewe and their newfound supernatural allies, the rougrarous and vampires, come together for an unprecedented battle to save the world. But with Belial resurrecting every demonic entity known to evil kind, will the superpowers gifted to the teens by the loas prove stronger than the diabolical forces unleashed?
FX’s SPERMWORLD: Documentary Premiere (Streaming March 30)
“Spermworld” is a road movie set inside the new Wild West of baby-making – online forums where sperm donors connect with hopeful parents. Against the landscape of roadside motels, abandoned shopping malls, and suburban bathrooms, the film follows intimate encounters between donors and recipients as they exchange more than just genetic material.
“Spermworld” examines how our fantasies about partnership and parenthood shape our deepest desires. What emerges in this new feature-length documentary directed by Lance Oppenheim and inspired by The New York Times article “The Sperm Kings Have a Problem: Too Much Demand” by Nellie Bowles is an incisive portrait of the search for human connection in an increasingly alienating world.
