Heretic Movie Reveals Final Trailer

A24 has released the final trailer for its anticipated Heretic movie, which will open in theaters on November 8, 2024. The film is rated R for some bloody violence.

In Heretic, two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse.

The psychological horror film was written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The movie stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East.

Heretic was produced by Stacey Sher, Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, Julia Glausi, and Jeanette Volturno. The cinematography is by Chung Chung-hoon, editing by Justin Li, and music by Chris Bacon.

Principal photography for the Heretic movie took place in Vancouver from October 3 to November 16, 2023. It had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2024.

The production companies include A24, Beck/Woods, and Shiny Penny. The film has a running time of 110 minutes and has not been rated by the MPA.

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods created the story of and co-wrote the post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror film A Quiet Place, wrote and directed the supernatural thriller Nightlight, the slasher film Haunt, and the sci-fi action thriller 65.

The duo also wrote and executive produced The Boogeyman, which starred Sophie Thatcher in the lead role.
