East of Eden Trailer with Florence Pugh

Netflix has shared the official trailer for East of Eden, the upcoming limited series adapted by Zoe Kazan from John Steinbeck’s masterpiece. The seven-episode series will debut on Netflix on October 1, 2026.

Starring Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames, Christopher Abbott as Adam Trask, and Mike Faist as Charles Trask, the multigenerational saga follows the Trask family through generations shaped by ambition, betrayal, and the haunting, indelible antihero Cathy Ames.

The East of Eden cast also includes Hoon Lee as Lee, Tracy Letts as Cyrus Trask, Martha Plimpton as Faye, Ciarán Hinds as Samuel Hamilton, Joseph Zada as Cal Trask, and Joe Anders as Aron Trask.

Executive producer Garth Davis (Lion, Mary Magdalene) directed Episodes 1–4, and executive producer Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre (The Mustang, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Act) directed Episodes 5–7.

Jeb Stuart (Liberator, Vikings: Valhalla, The Fugitive) served as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Kazan.
