Black Bear has released the official trailer and poster for writer-director David Michôd’s Christy, which is scheduled to open in theaters on November 7, 2025. The film has not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

In the film, Christy Martin (Sydney Sweeney) never imagined life beyond her small-town roots in West Virginia—until she discovered a knack for punching people.

In addition to Sydney Sweeney (The Housemaid) and Ben Foster (Motor City), the cast includes Merritt Wever (Severance), Katy O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding), Ethan Embry, Jess Gabor, Chad Coleman (The Walking Dead), Bryan Hibbard, Tony Cavalero, and Gilbert Cruz.

The Anonymous Content production, which made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, was written by David Michôd and Mirrah Foulkes, based on a story by Katherine Fugate. The film has a runtime of 135 minutes.

Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Teddy Schwarzman, Brent Stiefel, Justin Lothrop, David Michôd, and Sydney Sweeney are the producers. The executive producers include Mirrah Foulkes, John Friedberg, Michael Heimler, Harrison Huffman, David Levine, Ryan Schwartz, Nick Shumaker, and Brad Zimmerman.
