BritBox March 2024 Schedule Announced

BBC Studios has announced the BritBox March 2024 titles, which include everything from new BritBox Originals to classic British fare. BritBox is a digital video subscription service offering the largest collection of British TV in the U.S. and Canada.

March will kick off with a fresh new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy, which will be followed by Catch Me a Killer, the harrowing true story of former journalist-turned-psychological profiler Micki Pistorius, South Africa’s first serial killer profiler.

Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA-winning prison drama, Time, returns for a just-as-harrowing second season on March 27. This season centers on a women’s prison and stars Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance, and breakout star Bella Ramsey.

BritBox March 2024 Schedule Announced

Consisting of two hour-long episodes, Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy is the latest Agatha Christie adaptation from BritBox, ITV, and Mammoth Screen. Premiering on March 1, the series brings the classic novel into the 1950s and introduces a Nigerian lead character, tackling ever-timely issues such as colonialism and immigration.

Murder is Easy tells the story of Luke Fitzwilliam, who finds himself on the trail of a serial killer after meeting Miss Pinkerton on a train to London. She tells him about a series of suspicious deaths that have taken place in her village.

When she later turns up dead herself – while on the way to visit Scotland Yard – Fitzwilliam realizes he needs to find the killer before yet more bodies start piling up.

The two-part series features Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey), Morfydd Clark (The Lord of the Rings, Saint Maud), and Douglas Henshall (Shetland). The series was directed by Meena Gaur and written by Sian Ejiwunmi-Le Berre. The executive producers are Sian Martin, James Gandhi, and Damien Timmer.

The second season of Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA-winning prison drama, Time, consists of three hour-long episodes. An original new story told through the lens of three very different inmates, Time is a moving and high-stakes portrayal of life inside a women’s prison.

Time Season 2 is co-written by Jimmy McGovern (Broken, Cracker, The Street) and Helen Black, the writer of the now BAFTA-nominated Life and Death in the Warehouse, and is made by BBC Studios Productions for the BBC and BritBox North America.
