BritBox August 2025 Schedule Announced
BBC Studios has announced the titles coming to BritBox in August 2025, which include a range of new BritBox Originals and classic British fare. BritBox is a digital video subscription service offering the largest collection of British TV in the U.S. and Canada.
The August lineup continues to spotlight the work of BAFTA-winning writer Sally Wainwright with the debut of Last Tango in Halifax and Happy Valley. They join a growing lineup of her acclaimed works – Scott & Bailey and At Home with the Braithwaites – all streaming now. Explore the full lineup before her next release, Riot Women, coming soon to BritBox.

From August 26 through September 4, BritBox’s “Crime Spree” will debut a curated mix of full season and single-episode drops from some of the UK’s most gripping crime series. Fans can look forward to Sister Boniface Mysteries, Second Sight, Dublin Murders and more, offering a blend of cozy mystery and British grit. This binge-worthy slate sets the stage for Lynley – a fresh take on the well-to-do detective – coming soon to BritBox.
Starring and executive produced by James Norton (Happy Valley, Little Women), Playing Nice explores two families’ entanglement upon a shocking realization: their young sons were switched at birth. Kicking off BritBox’s “Crime Spree” and featuring a stellar cast – Niamh Algar, James McArdle, and Jessica Brown Findlay – the critically acclaimed miniseries premieres exclusively in the United States on August 26.
