Better Man Teaser Tells Robbie Williams’ Story in a Unique Way

Paramount Pictures has revealed the teaser trailer for the anticipated Robbie Williams movie Better Man, which will open in select theaters on December 25, 2024, and nationwide on January 17, 2025.

The studio has also brought online a featurette in which director Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman, P!nk: All I Know So Far) explains why Robbie Williams is a monkey in the biographical film.

Better Man is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Under the visionary direction of Michael Gracey, the film is uniquely told from Williams’ perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit.

The film follows Robbie’s journey from childhood to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.

In addition to Robbie Williams, the cast includes Jonno Davies, Steve Pemberton, Damon Herriman, Raechelle Banno, Alison Steadman, Kate Mulvaney, Frazer Hadfield, Tom Budge, and Anthony Hayes.

Simon Gleeson, Oliver Cole, and Michael Gracey wrote the script for the film, which was produced by Paul Currie, Gracey, Coco Xiaolu Ma, Jules Daly, and Craig McMahon.

The long list of executive producers for the Paramount Pictures release includes Zhe Chen, Robbie Williams, Markus Barmettler, Philip Lee, Li-Wei Chu, Michael Loney, Thorsten Schumacher, Lars Sylvest, Mark Williams, and Gregory Jankilevitsch.
