Avatar: Fire and Ash Trailer and Stills Debut
The Walt Disney Studios has revealed the first trailer and new stills for Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron’s highly anticipated Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The third film in the phenomenally successful Avatar franchise opens exclusively in theaters worldwide in IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens everywhere on December 19, 2025.

This past weekend, the trailer debuted on the big screen with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, providing movie-goers with a first look at the film’s eye-popping visuals, new clans, and stunning new creatures.
From 20th Century Studios and Lightstorm Entertainment, Fire and Ash is the third film in the blockbuster Avatar franchise that has grossed more than $5.2 billion at the global box office.

In Avatar: Fire and Ash, James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family.
The film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, and Bailey Bass.

Released in 2009, Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide with $2.923 billion. The movie earned $785.2 million at the North American box office and $2.138 billion at international markets.

It was followed in 2022 with Avatar: The Way of Water, which grossed $2.320 billion at the global box office, with $684 million coming from domestic theaters and $1.636 billion from overseas.
The franchise is scheduled to have two more films after Fire and Ash, with the untitled fourth movie opening in theaters on December 21, 2029, and the untitled fifth film on December 19, 2031.
