The month also features new seasons of ALLBLK’s supernatural drama Wicked City, HIDIVE’s popular fantasy franchise DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, and Acorn TV’s beloved detective drama Whitstable Pearl.

All month long, AMC+ offers its “FearFest” collection of iconic horror classics, including the Halloween franchise (10 films), Friday the 13th franchise (all 8 films), Children of the Corn (original and remake), Night of the Living Dead (original and remake), Child’s Play (original and remake), the Stephen King library, and more.

Horror enthusiasts can also check out Shudder’s “Season of Screams” lineup of new original films, including a new installment in the popular V/H/S franchise – V/H/S/Beyond, psychological scare Daddy’s Head, single shot horror MadS, action horror Azrael, and the Russell Crowe-led The Exorcism. Shudder will also debut a new season of its Original series, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, live watch parties, an all-new Ghoul Log, Halloween specials, and more.

Whitstable Pearl Season 3 (Acorn TV Original Series) – New Season Premieres on Monday, October 21
The Whitstable Pearl is thriving, and so is Pearl’s (Kerry Godliman, After Life, Our Girl) detective sideline. After a short hiatus, DCI Mike McGuire (Howard Charles, Top Boy, Shadow and Bone) returns to Whitstable, reenergized, and determined to make progress in his quest for self-healing.

He and Pearl continue to make a formidable team as they work through various cases together – Pearl never needs Mike’s help as much as he needs hers! As cracks start to show in Pearl and Tom’s relationship, and Mike finally comes to terms with how his wife died, will Pearl and Mike finally acknowledge their deep feelings for one another?

Candice Renoir Season 10 (Acorn TV Exclusive Specials) – New Specials Premiere on Monday, October 28
“Corsica” Episode:
Following their non-proposal, Candice and Antoine go on a honeymoon in Corsica. They spent their savings on a dream stay in a luxurious hotel on a beach with turquoise waters. During dinner, a man notices Candice in her pretty flowered dress and her bright laugh – but perhaps the attention is a little too much?

Antoine gets into a fight with a man he thinks is a flirt, and the couple spends the night apart, deciding to go home. But the next day, the pseudo-flirt is found dead in the trunk of the car.

“Halloween” Episode:
Now a financial investigator, Candice is bored out of her mind. With Halloween approaching, she accompanies Antoine to pick pumpkins on a farm with his daughter, Suzanne. Attracted by a marmalade shop run by a witch, Candice forgets to watch over Suzanne, and a few seconds later, the child is kidnapped by Jack O’ Lantern, the scarecrow from the field.

There are numerous tracks, but Candice, frustrated to no longer be a field investigator, can only act in secret.

The Midwich Cuckoos: Village of the Damned (Acorn TV Co-Premiere) – New Series Premieres on Thursday, October 17 on Acorn TV and Sundance Now

Loner Life in Another World (HIDIVE Exclusive Series) – New Simulcast Subtitled Episodes Every Thursday Throughout October
Fans will be isekai’d this fall by the fantasy adventure series Loner Life in Another World, with new subtitled episodes every Thursday in October following its September 26 premiere. After getting transported to another world with his entire high school class, “God” offers Haruka and his peers their choice of special powers so they can become fantasy heroes. But Haruka accidentally missed the power selection period, and now he’s stuck with the leftover abilities his classmates refused to take!

Seemingly underpowered, he makes use of his unwanted skills to live a (surprisingly comfortable) life as a lone wolf…but his classmates soon learn their “superior” abilities aren’t as great as they’re cracked up to be, and Haruka may have to come to their rescue using ingenuity, creativity, and the leftover powers his classmates once snubbed. Loner Life in Another World is directed by Akio Kazumi and written by Kenta Ihara together with production by Hayabusa Film and Passione.

5 Dimensional Seduction Cour 2 (HIDIVE Exclusive Series) – New Simulcast Subtitled Episodes Every Friday Throughout October
The rom-com teen drama 2.5 Dimensional Seduction returns for the second and final part (Cour 2) of Season 1 with new subtitled episodes every Friday throughout October following its premiere on September 27. “I have no interest in real girls!”

So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Ririsa, whose passion is cosplay, joins the club. Ririsa convinces Okumura to become her photographer—and guess who her favorite manga character is?

In the wake of his father’s untimely death, a young boy is left in the eerie solitude of a sprawling country estate with his newly widowed stepmother.
