Starring and executive produced by Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA Award-winner Clive Owen (Closer, Children of Men, The Knick) as the hard-boiled private detective Sam Spade, Monsieur Spade centers around the infamous protagonist of American writer Dashiell Hammett’s 1930 classic novel The Maltese Falcon.

Set in the entirely fictional but contemporary court of King Henry IX, the series sees Henry (Charles Edwards, Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power, The Crown, Under the Vines) struggle to make changes to his life in the face of centuries of tradition and a Royal household who are fairly sure they have his – and if not, certainly have their own – best interests at heart.
