28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD Details
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple will be available on digital February 17 and on 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD on April 21. The film opened in theaters on January 16.
The Bone Temple was shot back-to-back with its predecessor, 28 Years Later, and serves as the fourth installment in the 28 Days Later film series. The movie is the second part of a planned trilogy.

28 Years Later opened in theaters on June 20, 2025, and grossed $151.3 million worldwide, with $70.4 million from North American theaters and $80.9 million from international markets. The Bone Temple has earned $56.6 million globally, with $25 million from domestic theaters and $31.6 million from overseas.
Expanding upon the world created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later – but turning that world on its head – Nia DaCosta directs 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it – and Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape.
In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying. The cast also includes Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry.

The film was rated R for strong bloody violence, gore, graphic nudity, language throughout, and brief drug use. 28 Years Later was rated R for strong bloody violence, grisly images, graphic nudity, language, and brief sexuality.
Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, and Alex Garland. Cillian Murphy is the executive producer of the horror movie.
