Untamed Heads to Hawaii for Second Season
Netflix has revealed that the second season of the hit mystery-thriller series Untamed will take place in Hawaii, as a new case brings Eric Bana’s Kyle Turner to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.
“We’re excited to explore the pristine landscapes and cultural identity of a very different national park, and find Turner in a new state of mind, outside the comfort of Yosemite,” said co-showrunners and executive producers Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith.

Untamed Season 1 released on July 17, 2025, and debuted at #1 on the Netflix Global Top 10, remained in the top 10 for seven weeks, and became the third most-watched title on Netflix in the second half of 2025 with 92.8 million views.
In its second season, Untamed follows special agent Kyle Turner as he’s called to investigate a mysterious death in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, where local tensions and the volatile, living landscape become an unpredictable force.

From Warner Bros. Television, the six-episode second season is executive-produced by Mark L. Smith, Elle Smith, Eric Bana, John Wells, and Erin Jontow for John Wells Productions; Todd Black and Tony Shaw for Escape Artists Entertainment, Steve Lee Jones for Bee Holder Productions; and Cliff Roberts for Syndicate Entertainment.
The first season followed Kyle Turner (Eric Bana), a special agent for the National Park Service who enforces human law in nature’s vast wilderness. An investigation of a brutal death sends Turner on a collision course with the dark secrets within Yosemite National Park and in his own past.

“I am absolutely thrilled that we get the chance to bring another season of Untamed to life,” Eric Bana said previously. “The response to Season 1 has been a testament to the incredible effort by our crew to deliver something truly unique. I can’t wait to take Kyle on his next journey. Massive thanks to Netflix, John Wells Productions, Warner Bros. Television and our fans.”
Real-life ISB agents routinely travel from park to park, and Turner will have made his way to quite a few between seasons before landing at his Untamed Season 2 destination. “This won’t be the first park he’s been in since Yosemite,” said Mark L. Smith. “He’s been to a lot of parks. He’s been busy, taking on a lot of cases. This will be the latest, and it’ll be more impactful for him.”
