The Secret of Secrets Starts Production in Prague
Netflix has announced that production is underway in Prague for the upcoming series adaptation of The Secret of Secrets, the mystery thriller novel by New York Times bestselling author Dan Brown and the sixth installment in his Robert Langdon series.
Additionally, Netflix announced the latest recurring cast members joining the series, alongside the previously announced series regulars: Morgan Spector as Robert Langdon, Rebecca Hall as Katherine Solomon, Cherry Jones as Heide Nagel, Corey Stoll as Everett Finch, Rob Delaney as Jonas Faukman, and Abbey Lee as Sasha Vesna.
The additional cast members include Mamadou Athie (The Drama, Uncorked) as Michael Harris, Ben Levi Ross (Ragtime, Elsbeth) as Alex Conan, Anamaria Marinca (Housekeeping for Beginners, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) as Dr. Gessner, Richard Sammel (Andor, Inglourious Basterds) as Karl Muller, and Elena Saurel (The Agency, We Might Regret This) as Susan Housemore.
Carlton Cuse (Lost, Jack Ryan, Locke and Key, Bates Motel, and Five Days at Memorial) is set to serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with Dan Brown as executive producer. The executive producers also include Emma Forman for Genre Arts and Zoe Robyn.
In Dan Brown’s thrilling novel, symbologist Robert Langdon races against ancient forces and time to rescue a missing scientist and her groundbreaking manuscript, whose discoveries could forever change humanity’s understanding of the mind.
The Netflix series adaptation (currently untitled) will blend futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering heart-pounding suspense and international intrigue that have made the Langdon stories a global phenomenon.
Brown’s novels have sold over 250 million copies in 56 languages. Langdon has been featured in five previous books: Angels & Demons (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2003), The Lost Symbol (2009), Inferno (2013), and Origin (2017). The source novel, The Secret of Secrets, was published by Doubleday on September 9, 2025.
Since the worldwide success of The Da Vinci Code, Robert Langdon has become one of modern literature’s most iconic heroes. The Langdon film series has grossed approximately $2.24 billion worldwide (2025 dollars).
