The Runner Trailer and Poster Featuring Gal Gadot
Amazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer and poster for The Runner, the psychological thriller film premiering globally on Prime Video on September 2, 2026.
The film has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for violent content/some bloody images, some sexual material, strong language, and a drug reference.

According to Amazon MGM Studios, The Runner “is a pulse-pounding psychological thriller that plays out across London’s bustling labyrinth of streets and underground tunnels.
“Anchored by a compelling performance from Gal Gadot — the film strips a prominent corporate attorney down to her rawest instincts as the maternal drive to save her son takes over. With its relentless pace and high-octane rescue mission, The Runner is an absolute must-watch for action fans!”

Gal Gadot (upcoming In the Hand of Dante) plays Maia Marten, who has built her life on being one step ahead — a sharp, resourceful, high-powered lawyer at the top of London’s legal world. During her routine morning run, a single phone call shatters her world: her son has been taken.
The instructions to get him back are simple and merciless — keep moving, follow every command, and tell no one. Stop, and he dies. Forced to sprint through the city and obey a series of sinister commands, Maia must confront an impossible question: how far will she go to bring her son home?

Set against the backdrop of London’s hyper-connected streets, The Runner is a visceral, high-stakes race where every second counts, every choice carries a price, and a mother’s unstoppable love becomes the most dangerous weapon of all.
Also starring Damian Lewis, Rory Wilmot, and Alfred Enoch, the film was directed by Kevin Macdonald and written by Mark Gibson. David Kosse is the producer, and the executive producers include Jane Robertson, Amy Paquette, Elliott Kleinberg, and Claire Willats.
