The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to Return to Theaters in January 2026

Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures have announced that the extended editions of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy will return to theaters from January 16-18 and 23-25, 2026.

Where available, special DBOX presentations will be offered over the first weekend (January 16-18) to deliver stunning audio and visuals, enhancing the quintessential big-screen experience of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

As part of the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures released a special trailer, which you can watch by scrolling down.

Fathom Entertainment also shared details of the limited-edition concession vessels for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. At participating AMC Theatres, you can get a limited-edition Collectible Map Tin complete with a Quest Magnet Set, while Regal and select independent theatres are offering The Lord of the Rings trilogy “One Ring” design.
