The Last House First Look From Netflix
Netflix has shared a first look at The Last House, the upcoming sci-fi horror film directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Matthew Robinson. The film was previously known as “11817.”
In The Last House, a family of four is suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out and must work together to survive against dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat keeping them trapped.

Releasing globally on Netflix on August 7, 2026, the movie stars Greta Lee, Wagner Moura, Gabriel Barbosa, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Riley Chung.
The producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Kori Adelson, Louis Leterrier, and Oly Obst. Thomas Benski, Cecile Gaget, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, and Damian Anderson are the executive producers.

“Growing up, my favorite things to watch and read were survivalist stories with a twist. So I was immediately drawn to this story,” said Greta Lee.
“I love the questions this movie asks about our world and how we choose to live in it. And I was excited about the possibility of asking these questions in a new and entertaining way.”

Wagner Moura added, “The storyline will evolve in ways that the audience certainly will not expect, but that is what makes this film so interesting. There are layers and twists that I can’t wait for everyone to see.”
“The Last House challenges the idea of a safe haven, turning a family home into a hostile environment where survival demands unity,” said Louis Leterrier. “This is an ordinary family’s worst nightmare, pushing them to their limits to protect each other and exposing the fragility of security — and the desperate fight to reclaim it.”
