The Housemaid Digital Release Set for February 3

Lionsgate has announced that The Housemaid will arrive on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand beginning February 3. The studio announced earlier this week that the film has surpassed $305 million at the global box office, with $116 million coming from North American theaters and $189 million from international markets.

The Housemaid stars Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You) and Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls), with director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) bringing his distinctive look and style. The film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems.

Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power.

Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end. Lionsgate previously announced that a sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret, will begin production later this year. The new film will be based on the second novel in Freida McFadden’s best-selling trilogy.

On February 3, The Housemaid will be available to rent via Premium Video on Demand (for a 48-hour period) and to buy via Premium Electronic Sell Thru on participating digital platforms where movies are purchased, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google TV, YouTube, and more.

Lionsgate is presenting a Hidden Pictures and Pretty Dangerous Pictures production. The executive producers include Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Freida McFadden, Will Greenfield, Alexander Young, Carly Elter, and Jennifer Booth. The R-rated film was produced by Todd Lieberman, Laura Fischer, and Paul Feig.
