Starz has announced the movie and TV titles that will be available on the streaming service in October. The Starz October 2022 schedule includes the premieres of Step Up Season 3 and The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast.
Step Up Season 3 premieres on Sunday, October 16 at midnight on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms, and internationally on the Lionsgate+ premium streaming platform (previously StarzPlay) across its complete footprint in Europe, Latin America, and Japan. On linear, it will debut on Starz at 10:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.

The half-hour episodic documentary series is about the infamous Black Mafia Family, as told by former members, insiders, associates, and celebrity figures close to the family. From Detroit corner boys to notorious drug kingpins and hip hop kingmakers, the eight-part docuseries will chart the meteoric rise and fall of BMF founders: Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers who built one of the largest cocaine empires in American history.
The fabled story spans four decades across five major U.S. cities, immersing viewers in a network of crisscrossing relationships between crime, hip-hop, and law enforcement. The series affords viewers exclusive access inside all the epic family feuds, high-stakes drug deals, suspicious murders, and champagne-drenched parties attended by hip-hop royalty.
The Starz October 2022 lineup also includes Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which wraps its second season on Sunday, October 23 at midnight on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms, and internationally on the Lionsgate+ premium streaming platform across its complete footprint in Europe, Latin America and Japan. On linear, the episode will air on Starz at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
Raquel ‘Raq’ Thomas has gained control over the city’s drug trade, but her son is slipping away. Kanan Stark returns to Queens uncertain of his future with the family business, and because of Detective Howard’s lingering secret, he’s even more uncertain of his past. Kanan searches for the truth while Raq boldly expands the business into hostile Mafia territory.
Lou-Lou has other plans that revolve around his emerging record label, but Raq isn’t about to let his side hustle get in the way of her expansion. Although Marvin remains Raq’s loyal soldier, he struggles to earn Jukebox’s forgiveness and become the father she deserves. The ties that bind this family are becoming undone, but Raq will stop at nothing to hold them together.

The Serpent Queen tells the story of Catherine de Medici (Samantha Morton), who, against all odds, became one of the most powerful and longest-serving rulers in French history. Catherine’s tale unfolds through flashbacks as she defends her actions and imparts the lessons she’s learned to her new servant girl, Rahima (Sennia Nanua).
At 14, the young, orphaned Catherine (Liv Hill) marries into the 16th-century French court. Despite her commoner status, her uncle Pope Clement (Charles Dance), has negotiated a large dowry and a geopolitical alliance in return for the union, and with it comes the expectation of many heirs.
However, on her wedding night, Catherine learns that her new husband is in love with Diane de Poitiers (Ludivine Sagnier), a beautiful lady-in-waiting twice his age.
With her future suddenly uncertain and with little hope of conceiving, Catherine must quickly learn who she can trust – both within her personal entourage
