Starz May 2023 Movie and TV Titles Announced
Starz has announced the movie and TV titles coming to the service in May. The Starz May 2023 schedule includes the season two premiere of Run the World, the season three finale of Power Book II: Ghost, and the season two finale of Blindspotting.
On the film front, notable titles joining the Starz app this month include On Sacred Ground, The Beach, Van Helsing, The Banger Sisters, Public Enemies, and Paper Man.

RUN THE WORLD SEASON 2
Run the World will premiere Friday, May 26 at midnight (ET) on the Starz app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 9:30PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
Run the World chronicles the euphoric highs and heartbreaking lows that Whitney, Renee and Sondi must endure in their pursuit of world domination. Whitney must follow the road of self-discovery in order to thrive in her life with or without Ola, while Renee and Sondi must decide what they truly want out of life – both in love and their careers.
Whether they reunite with a past love, taste the life of a millionaire, or see their career take off in a radical new direction, these powerful Black women, fortified by their impenetrable friendship, won’t let anything get in their way.
POWER BOOK II: GHOST SEASON 3
The high-octane drama Power Book II: Ghost continues its third season with all-new episodes Fridays at midnight on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on Lionsgate+ premium streaming platform in the UK and Brazil. On linear, the episodes will debut on Starz Fridays at 8:00 pm ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
The third season of Power Book II: Ghost kicks off with Tariq St. Patrick determined to get his trust, get back to his family, and get out of the game for good. The emergence of a ruthless new connect interrupts Tariq’s plans to reunite with Tasha and Yaz and puts him, Brayden, and Effie back into business with the Tejadas as they’re challenged to move more weight than ever before.
When Brayden brings Tariq in as an intern at his family’s hedge fund Weston Holdings, the drug business expands beyond Stansfield and the streets onto Wall Street, while Tariq is also shown an alternate, legitimate path to success. Monet Tejada, set ablaze by the death of her son Zeke Cross, is willing to pay a hefty price to avenge her firstborn and keep the rest of her children — and the business — in line as she works closely with Davis MacLean to solve Zeke’s murder and keep the feds off her trail.
Business is booming when a staggering reveal forces Tariq to reckon with a betrayal from those closest to him… and a R.I.C.O. investigation mounting into the entire drug enterprise, pulling Tariq deeper into the business and even closer to the legacy of his father.
BLINDSPOTTING SEASON 2
All-new episodes of the critically-acclaimed comedy series Blindspotting will be available beginning Fridays at midnight on the Starz app, and all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms in the U.S. and Canada. On linear, the episodes will debut on Starz Fridays at 9:00 pm ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
Blindspotting is co-created by Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs, with Casal also starring in the series alongside Emmy winner Jasmine Cephas Jones and Academy Award winner Helen Hunt.
Season two picks up nine months after Ashley and Miles’s prison nuptials in the season one finale, Ashley is doing backflips to try and raise Sean on her own. She is reaching her breaking point and is taking it out on everyone around her.
Miles is adjusting to life on the inside and counting down the days before their first family visitation weekend at San Quentin. Rainey (Hunt) is doing her best to make Ashley and Sean feel at home while trying to find a way to stay connected to her son behind bars, but Ashley holds all the cards.
Trish’s (Jaylen Barron) new business is flourishing, but she is dealing with jealousy issues now that her best friend and business partner Jacque (April Absynth) is dating Cuddie (Lance Holloway). Janelle (Candace Nicholas-Lippman) is growing frustrated with Ashley’s constant need for support and has begun to miss her life back in Bali.
And then of course Earl (Benjamin Turner), fresh out of prison himself for unintentionally breaking his probation, has moved out of Nancy’s (Margo Hall) house and is trying to re-establish a relationship with his own family, and his past. Welcome back to the ordeal.
