SHOWTIME OCTOBER 2022 ORIGINALS

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN – Series Premiere: Friday, October 7
Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, the series centers on Mark (Demián Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez), whose lives were changed forever ten years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.

With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, Let the Right One In will upend genre expectations, using a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength, and compassion. Additional cast members include Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, Kevin Carroll, and Nick Stahl.

THE LINCOLN PROJECT – Limited Docuseries Premiere: Friday October 7
A five-part docuseries, The Lincoln Project follows the members of the political action committee, The Lincoln Project, formed in late 2019 by former and current Republicans to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump. Over the course of the 2020 election and its aftermath, from the storming of the Capitol to Biden’s inauguration, they strive to change the course of the GOP and defeat their own party’s sitting president.

But with Trump defeated, will these political mercenaries be able to maintain their focus to pursue the larger forces of Trumpism? This is not a history class or partisan newscast but an unvarnished look at how power and money shape politics in America today.

AMERICAN GIGOLO – Season One Finale: Friday, October 28
A present-day reimagining of the iconic 1980 film, American Gigolo follows Julian Kaye (Jon Bernthal) after his wrongful conviction release from 15 years in prison as he navigates his complicated relationships with his former lover Michelle (Gretchen Mol), his troubled mother, and the people who betrayed him.

While Julian struggles to reconcile the escort he was in the past and the man he is today, Detective Sunday (Rosie O’Donnell) seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago, unearthing a much larger conspiracy along the way.

Additional casting includes Lizzie Brocheré as Isabelle, the heiress to a ring of sex workers; Gabriel LaBelle as Johnny, a younger version of Julian; Leland Orser as Richard Stratton, a self-made tech billionaire; and guest star Wayne Brady as Julian’s best friend and mentor Lorenzo. Alex Fernandez, Sandrine Holt, Yolonda Ross, and Melora Walters also guest star.
