Showtime has announced the movies, TV shows and sports programming coming to the service in October. The Showtime October 2022 lineup includes Let the Right One In, The Lincoln Project, American Gigolo, Bellator MMA, and much more.
Showtime serves spooky titles in October with the premiere of new thriller series Let the Right One In leading the way. Inspired by the hit Swedish novel and film, Let the Right One In follows Mark and his daughter Eleanor, who was unwillingly turned into a vampire and locked in at the age of 12. Ten years later, the father-daughter duo remain recluses while Mark searches for a cure to his daughter’s affliction.
The premiere of Let the Right One In is part of the new Showtime “Bloody Good” campaign, which also includes chilling fan favorites like Dexter in addition to pop culture sensations like Yellowjackets and Scream (2022). The campaign is intended to highlight the complex characters and provocative storylines Showtime has to offer that plumb the depths of what it means to be afraid in our day and age.
Running throughout October, the campaign is promoted by a variety of digital and social activations, three new “Bloody Good” collections on Showtime products and a national offer that is inclusive of a 30-day free trial and then just $3.99/mo. for a subscriber’s first three months.
The Showtime October 2022 slate also includes the five-part, eponymous docuseries The Lincoln Project premieres. A deep dive into the psyche of the anti-Trump political action committee comprised of former and current members of the GOP, the docuseries chronicles the PAC’s efforts to thwart former President Trump’s efforts from the campaign trail to the Capitol insurrection, and to redirect the course of the Republican Party away from Trumpism altogether.
The steamy first season of American Gigolo starring Jon Bernthal as Julian Kaye comes to an end on Friday, October 28, when Julian recovers Colin from an unlikely savior. Meanwhile, Sunday can’t shake a connection from her past and present cases and Michelle considers what she wants – and what Colin needs.
October is also a jam-packed month for sports on Showtime. Bellator MMA kicks off the month on Saturday, Oct. 1 when featherweight kingpin and No. 1-ranked fighter Patricio “Pitbull” Freire defends his featherweight world championship against Hungarian Adam Borics in the main event from Long Beach Arena in California.
At the end of the month on Saturday, Oct. 29, Adam Piccolotti makes his 14th appearance for Bellator when he clashes with newly signed French brawler Mansour Barnaoui in Milan, Italy.
In the boxing realm, undefeated 154-pound sensation Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora takes on Carlos Ocampo for Showtime Boxing to defend his interim titled from “The War Grounds” in Carson, CA on Saturday, Oct. 8. For ShoBox Generation, undefeated blue-chip light heavyweight prospect Ali Izmailov faces off with hard-hitting veteran Radivoje Kalajdzic on Friday, Oct. 21 in the main event from Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino.
Finally, on Friday, Oct. 29, international superstar and undefeated boxing standout Jake “The Problem Child” Paul, who has knocked out every opponent he’s faced, spars with his toughest opponent to date: legendary UFC Champion and MMA’s most feared striker-turned-professional-boxer, Anderson “The Spider” Silva.
At the crossroad of Sports and Hip Hop, Showtime will air episodes of All the Smoke with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson featuring some of the biggest names in rap music who have appeared on the video podcast. Best of All the Smoke episode one will revisit a candid conversation with Ice Cube on Thursday, Oct. 20. Episode two will reflect on Snoop Dogg’s appearance the following week.
This month, Showtime subscribers will also have access to a handful of unique series and theatrical collections, including the “So Scared You Need a Laugh” collection. What better way to tune out the skin-crawling bumps in the night than a good comedy? This collection features classic knee-slappers including Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Legally Blonde.
The “Growing Pains” collection is also available, which features iconic coming-of-age films like The Florida Project, Moonlight and Eighth Grade.

SHOWTIME OCTOBER 2022 ORIGINALS
LET THE RIGHT ONE IN – Series Premiere: Friday, October 7
Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, the series centers on Mark (Demián Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez) whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.
With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, Let the Right One In will upend genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength and compassion. Additional cast members include Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, Kevin Carroll and Nick Stahl.
THE LINCOLN PROJECT – Limited Docuseries Premiere: Friday October 7
A five-part docuseries, The Lincoln Project follows the members of the political action committee, The Lincoln Project, formed in late 2019 by former and current Republicans to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump. Over the course of the 2020 election and its aftermath, through the storming of the Capitol, to Biden’s inauguration, they strive to change the course of the GOP and defeat their own party’s sitting president.
But with Trump defeated, will these political mercenaries be able to maintain their focus to pursue the larger forces of Trumpism? This is not a history class or partisan newscast, but an unvarnished look at how power and money shape politics in America today.
AMERICAN GIGOLO – Season One Finale: Friday, October 28
A present-day reimagining of the iconic 1980 film, American Gigolo follows Julian Kaye (Jon Bernthal) after his wrongful conviction release from 15 years in prison as he navigates his complicated relationships with his former lover Michelle (Gretchen Mol), his troubled mother, and the people who betrayed him.
While Julian struggles to reconcile the escort he was in the past and the man he is today, Detective Sunday (Rosie O’Donnell) seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago, unearthing a much larger conspiracy along the way.
Additional casting includes Lizzie Brocheré as Isabelle, the heiress to a ring of sex workers; Gabriel LaBelle as Johnny, a younger version of Julian; Leland Orser as Richard Stratton, a self-made tech billionaire; and guest star Wayne Brady as Julian’s best friend and mentor Lorenzo. Alex Fernandez, Sandrine Holt, Yolonda Ross and Melora Walters also guest star.

SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING: FUNDORA VS. OCAMPO – Saturday, October 8, 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT
Unbeaten 154-pound sensation Sebastian “The Towering Inferno’’ Fundora looks to demonstrate why he’s one of the most feared fighters in boxing when he defends his interim title against Carlos Ocampo from “The War Grounds” in Carson, CA.
