Scrublands Season 2 to Premiere on May 29 on AMC+
AMC+ today announced that the highly anticipated new season of Scrublands will premiere on Thursday, May 29, exclusively on AMC+, with new episodes debuting every Thursday.
Filmed in the stunning landscapes of Augusta, Western Australia, the second season of Scrublands sees Luke Arnold (Black Sails) and Bella Heathcote (Pieces of Her) reprise their roles following the critically acclaimed first season.
Based on Silver, the bestselling sequel to Scrublands by Chris Hammer, the new four-episode season picks up after a year has passed since the life-changing events of season one.
Award-winning investigative journalist Martin Scarsden (Arnold) returns to his coastal hometown, Port Silver, WA, to start a new chapter with his partner, Mandy Bond (Heathcote).
But his plans begin to unravel when he discovers his childhood friend, Jasper, brutally murdered—and Mandy is accused as the prime suspect. As Martin struggles with doubts about Mandy and his instincts, he embarks on a relentless search for the truth, uncovering buried secrets about Port Silver and his past.
Scrublands season two is an AMC+ Original directed by Ben Young, written by Felicity Packard, who also serves as producer, Fiona Kelly and Jock Serong. The executive producers are Michael Healy and Andy Ryan from the 9Network and Cailah Scobie and Alicia Brown for Stan.
The producers are Ian Collie, Rob Gibson, and Martha Coleman. A major production investment came from Screenwest, Lotterywest, and the WA Regional Screen Fund. The series was developed with the assistance of Screenwest and Lotterywest.

Scrublands S2 – Episode 1 – Premieres Thursday, May 29, on AMC+
Returning to his hometown after a long absence, Martin Scarsden’s hope for a peaceful holiday with new partner Mandy Bond takes a U-Turn when his childhood friend, Jasper Speight, is found dead and the only witness – and suspect – is Mandy.
Scrublands S2 – Episode 2 – Premieres Thursday, June 5, on AMC+
As Martin continues to explore the events surrounding Jasper’s murder, he and Mandy deal with the information that someone at Hummingbird Beach Retreat – possibly Jasper – spiked her drink and drugged her.
Scrublands S2- Episode 3 – Premieres Thursday, June 12, on AMC+
When a witness claims to have seen Mandy dispose of the knife that killed Jasper, Mandy faces murder charges. Martin continues to hunt for the true culprit, uncovering more darkness in Port Silver, but no murderer.
Scrublands S2 – Episode 4 –Premieres Thursday, June 19, on AMC+
In the wake of the mass poisoning at Hummingbird Beach Retreat, with Mandy in a critical condition, Martin reflects on his past actions and reconciles with Uncle Vern. With Vern’s encouragement, Martin’s instincts are restored, and he follows a lead.
