PARAMOUNT+ HIGHLIGHTS
BOSÉ (Streaming December 1)
All six episodes of the biopic based on the life of Spanish singer-songwriter Miguel Bosé will be available to stream in Spanish and dubbed in English upon launch. Produced by Paramount, the Spanish-language series stars José Pastor and Iván Sánchez and was one of the top scripted series when it debuted on Paramount+ in Latin America in November.
From the time of his birth, Miguel Bosé was destined for greatness, despite the rigid conventions imposed by his native country, Spain, in the 1960s. His father, Luis Miguel Dominguin, was a traditional and prominent figure in Spanish bullfighting, while his mother, Lucia Bosé, was a sophisticated and modern Italian movie star. Bosé was born blessed with his father’s strong character, his mother’s beauty and the rebelliousness and elegance of both.
In 1968, Bosé’s parents’ tumultuous relationship came to an end after 13 years when they decided to divorce, a scandal at the time for conservative Spain. Bosé was just 11 and the divorce had a huge impact on him. It served as a catalyst to transform him into the rebellious and disruptive artist the world would meet a decade later.
Surrounded by a halo of mystery, Bosé has always been very private. For the first time and exclusively on Paramount+, Bosé the series breaks down the walls, revealing the singer-songwriter’s strengths and weaknesses and giving audiences an intimate look at his life. Each episode focuses on a different Miguel Bosé song and journeys to pivotal moments in the artist’s life. The series’ present-day timeline takes place during the promotion of his multi-platinum album Papito, a special moment for Miguel when he decides to make a long-delayed dream come true: to be a father.
LIAM GALLAGHER: KNEBWORTH 22 (Streaming December 6)
In June 2022, Liam Gallagher returned to Knebworth Park Hertfordshire in England 26 years after Oasis’ historic 1996 shows. Performing to 170,000 fans across two sold-out nights, the event coincided with Gallagher’s third solo album, C’mon You Know, which became the singer-songwriter’s third #1 studio album.
Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22 traces Gallagher back to the site of his former band’s defining performances, including all-new interviews and behind-the-scenes and concert footage captured from 20 camera angles. The film also goes a little bit further, sharing stories and perspectives from collaborators and fans of different generations from around the world, transposing the emotional and social context of the ‘90s shows with the tumult of our current era.
THE GAME SEASON 2 (Streaming December 15)
Season two will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 15, with two episodes in the U.S. and Canada. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode-long season will premiere weekly on Thursdays exclusively on Paramount+.
The Game stars Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Adriyan Rae, Vaughn Hebron, Analisa Velez and Toby Sandeman. It offers a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of professional football. The beloved characters tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love – all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play The Game.
1923 (Streaming December 18)
New original drama series 1923 stars Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford. From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, 1923 will debut on Sunday, Dec. 18, in the U.S. and Canada.
1923, the next installment of the Dutton family origin story, will introduce a new generation of Duttons, led by patriarch Jacob (Ford) and matriarch Cara (Mirren). The series will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.
MARIAH CAREY: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! (Streaming December 20)
Filmed in New York City at the world-renowned Madison Square Garden arena, the concert special will feature the singer-songwriter performing a repertoire of her festive holiday hits, including the chart-topping massive perennial favorite “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to All! is a co-production of Sony Music Entertainment and Supply & Demand. Mariah Carey, Joseph Kahn, Charleen Manca and Nicola Doring are executive producers. Sony Music Entertainment is distributing the special.
TOP GUN: MAVERICK (Streaming December 22)
After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.
When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.”
Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
