Nightmares of Nature First Look From Blumhouse and Netflix
Netflix has shared a first look at Nightmares of Nature, which is a brand new “Natural History and Horror” series created by Blumhouse Television and Plimsoll Productions.
Narrated by Maya Hawke (Inside Out 2, Stranger Things), the two seasons of Nightmares of Nature each follow three animal characters facing all the horrors and monsters nature can throw at them.

The first season, titled “Cabin in the Woods,” is set to premiere on September 30, and the second season, titled “Lost in the Jungle,” will follow on October 28. Both seasons consist of three episodes, each running 45 minutes.
“Cabin in the Woods” is set in the perfectly haunting world of the North American woods. Our three characters (a soon-to-be-mother mouse, a young bachelor raccoon, and a froglet who has seen terrible things) quickly discover how scary the woods truly are and find themselves in search of sanctuary. They stumble upon an old cabin in the woods, and, thinking it a haven, they soon discover their nightmares have really only just begun…

“Lost in the Jungle” is set deep in the creepy Central American rainforest, a place with more creative ways to die than anywhere else on Earth. For our three characters (a young opossum, a newly hatched iguana, and a feisty jumping spider), the nightmare of staying alive in the jungle escalates fast when they discover an abandoned laboratory deep in the jungle.
And before they know it, lost in this unnatural labyrinth, with a new monster hiding behind every corner, they are in the struggle of their lives to get out before it is too late…

Jason Blum is the executive producer for Nightmares of Nature. Doug Mackay-Hope is the producer of the Netflix series, and the executive producers include Martha Holmes, Mark Brownlow, Grant Mansfield, Gretchen Palek, and Matt Sarshik.
Nathan Small produced and directed “Cabin in the Woods,” while Charlotte Lathane produced and directed “Lost in the Jungle.”
