MGM+ July 2025 Schedule Announced

MGM+ has announced the titles set to arrive on the premium linear channel and streaming service in July. The MGM Plus July 2025 lineup includes the premiere of The Institute, based on the Stephen King novel, and the action thriller Novocaine.

From executive producer and director of MGM+’s original, hit horror series, “FROM,” Jack Bender, “The Institute” follows the story of teen genius Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman) who is kidnapped and awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did, and who are all possessed of unusual abilities.

In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Ben Barnes) has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide.

Luke wakes up at the Institute, having been kidnapped by Ms. Sigsby, who claims he’ll save the world. Tim signs on as a night knocker for the local cops.

Luke bonds with the others as he starts to plot his escape. Sigsby manages fallout from the security breach. Tim starts to look into The Institute.

Lars Jacobson wrote the film, produced by Drew Simon, Tory Tunnell, Joby Harold, Sam Speiser, Matt Schwartz, and Julian Rosenberg, and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. The movie was rated R by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for strong bloody violence, grisly images, and language throughout.

“Novocaine” is a Paramount Pictures presentation in association with Infrared Pictures and Domain Entertainment. The film is a Safehouse Pictures/Circle Management+ production.
