Last Breath Trailer Featuring Harrelson, Liu and Cole
Focus Features has released the official trailer and poster for Last Breath, a survival thriller opening in theaters on February 28, 2025. The film has been rated PG-13 for brief strong language.
The heart-pounding film follows seasoned deep-sea divers battling the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.
Based on a true story, Focus Features says the movie “is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.” Alex Parkinson directs from a script by Mitchell LaFortune and Alex Parkinson & David Brooks.
The movie is a remake of the 2019 documentary of the same name that Parkinson co-directed with Richard da Costa. The documentary tells the story of a commercial diver who was stranded on the seabed with five minutes of oxygen but no chance of rescue for more than 30 minutes.
Starring Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, Finn Cole and Cliff Curtis, Last Breath is produced by David Brooks, Paul Brooks, Hal Sadoff, Norman Golightly, Jeremy Plager, Stewart le Maréchal, Al Morrow and Anna Mohr-Pietsch.
Principal photography for the film began in Malta in May 2023 and ran through July of that year. In May 2024, Focus Features acquired distribution rights to the movie for territories including the United States, France, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea and Vietnam.
