Fortitude Trailer Reveals the Simon West Spy Film
Simon Afram Productions and Op-Fortitude have revealed the official trailer for the upcoming spy action-adventure film Fortitude, directed by Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) and written and produced by Simon Afram (Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness).
Fortitude is based on an incredible true story and follows the fearless and unpredictable spy-soldiers Dudley Clarke (Ed Skrein) and Thomas Argyll “TAR” Robertson (Matthew Goode), as they devise the biggest deception mission ever mounted.
With the support of Winston Churchill (Michael Sheen), Ian Fleming (Art Malik) and an extraordinary network of double agents, among them Dusko Popov (Nicolas Cage), Juan Pujol (Jordi Mollà), a Spanish chicken farmer, and Nancy Armstrong (Alice Eve), a top British Intelligence agent, they create a spectacular master plan using a fictitious army, fake tanks, aircraft and ships, actors and false radio messages to fool Hitler’s Nazi Army in the build-up to D-Day.
Operation Fortitude decisively changed the course of World War II and paved the way for a free world.
The cast also includes Lukas Haas (Inception), Adrian Topol (Snowflake), Emilio Sakraya (Sixty Minutes), Maeve Courtier-Lilley (Gran Turismo), Jonathan Aris (Red Eye), Freddy Carter (Five Nights of Freddy 2), and Ronni Ancona (Last Tango in Halifax).
The cast is rounded out by Akar Faraj (‘Twas the Devil), Daniel Philpott (The Boys in the Boat), Paul Anderson (The Revenant), Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi), Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex, Frost/Nixon) as Winston Churchill, and Nicolas Cage (Con Air, Leaving Las Vegas) as Dusko Popov, the real-life spy who inspired the James Bond novels.
The film was produced by Simon Afram along with Georgette Turner (The Long Walk), Reza Roohi and Edward Kahl (Queen of Manhattan).
Fortitude was executive produced by David Scaramanga, Bianca Goodloe (Blue Eyed Girl), Daniel Haido, Blair Ward (The Apprentice), Anders Erdén (The Strangers franchise), Robert Leader (Bride Hard), Joshua Levine (Dunkirk), Abraham Taylor (The Jerk Theory), and Tom North.
