Disney+ announced today that Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ June 22.

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before.
Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers.
The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron, whose credits also include Rick and Morty, Marvel Studios’ Loki and Heels.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness released in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022 and was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, frightening images and some language.
The movie has grossed $879.5 million worldwide, with $376.5 million coming from North American theaters and $502.9 million from international markets.
Released in November of 2016, the first movie was directed by Scott Derrickson and features the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands.
When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj.
Before long Strange — armed with newly acquired magical powers — is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
