Disney+ announced today that Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ on June 22.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, and Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg and Rachel McAdams.
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers.
The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron, whose credits also include Rick and Morty, Marvel Studios’ Loki and Heels.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022, and was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, frightening images, and some language.
The movie has grossed $879.5 million worldwide, with $376.5 million coming from North American theaters and $502.9 million from international markets.
Released in November of 2016, the first movie was directed by Scott Derrickson and features the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange, whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands.
When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing and hope in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj.
Before long, Strange — armed with newly acquired magical powers — is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
