Dirty Angels Reunites Eva Green and Martin Campbell

Lionsgate has revealed the official trailer and poster for the action thriller Dirty Angels, which reunites Casino Royale director Martin Campbell and star Eva Green.

The film, which has been rated R for strong/bloody violence and language, will be available in select theaters, on Digital, and on-demand on December 13, 2024.

In Dirty Angels, when a group of schoolgirls is taken hostage in Afghanistan, an American soldier named Jake (Eva Green) joins a unit of all-women commandos to liberate them. The plan: Gain the trust of the terrorists by posing as members of a relief organization.

But double-crosses, tragedies, and the ghosts of Jake’s past complicate the rescue in this do-or-die mission.

In addition to Eva Green, the cast also includes Maria Bakalova, Ruby Rose, Rona-Lee Shimon, Jojo T. Gibbs, Emily Bruni, and Christopher Backus. Alissa Sullivan Haggis and Jonas McCord wrote the screenplay from a story by McCord and Campbell.

Moshe Diamant, Yariv Lerner, and Robert Van Norden produced the Lionsgate movie, which is a Millennium Media, Nu Boyana Film Studios, and I Road production.

Principal photography for Dirty Angels began in December 2022 in Morocco and at Millennium Media’s Nu Boyana Film Studios in Thessaloniki, Greece. The filming concluded in February 2023.

When the project was announced in September 2022, Campbell said: “It’s great to be working with Millennium Media and producer Moshe Diamant for the third time. ‘I’m thrilled I’ll be working with Eva once more. Her performance in Casino Royale was outstanding, and she will bring the same dedication and talent to Dirty Angels.”

“We are excited to bring Eva aboard Dirty Angels and are thrilled to work with Martin Campbell on the project,” said Millennium Media co-president Jonathan Yunger at the time. “Eva is a very versatile actress, and we can’t wait to watch her and Martin pair up to bring this gripping story to life.”

Green commented: “For a long time, I’ve wanted to sink my teeth into a pure action role. I’m really excited to get to work with Martin again on a film like this. Martin and the team have developed a script with great action sequences, compelling characters, and a cracking storyline.”
