Anaconda Trailer and Poster Featuring Black and Rudd

Sony Pictures has released the official trailer and poster for the upcoming action-adventure comedy Anaconda, which is set to open in theaters on December 25, 2025.

In the film, Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie: the cinematic “classic” Anaconda.

When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation.

The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed…… The movie has not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

Directed by Tom Gormican, Anaconda stars Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello.

Gormican and Kevin Etten wrote the script for the movie, which was produced by Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Kevin Etten, and Tom Gormican. Samson Mücke is the executive producer.

The “classic” Anaconda film that the new movie is referring to opened in theaters in 1997 and starred Jennifer Lopez (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz, Jonathan Hyde, and Owen Wilson (Stick).

The film received mostly negative reviews but was able to gross $136.8 million at the global box office, with $65.8 million coming from North American theaters and $71 million from international markets. The film also spawned multiple sequels over the years.
