Last night, at the last stop of Sabrina Carpenter’s U.S. Short n’ Sweet Tour at the Kia Forum, fans got a special surprise when Netflix revealed the trailer for A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter right before the show started.
The special guests who appear in the special include Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell.
The special is officially described as follows: “It’s a nonsense holiday, and we’re so here for it. In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP fruitcake and other iconic chart-topping holiday covers.
“This special will also feature show-stopping music performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos.”
“The holidays have always been so special to me,” Carpenter told Netflix. “I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show — infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter will premiere on Netflix on December 6, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
Sam Wrench is the director, and Nikki Boella is the showrunner of the special, which is executive-produced by Sabrina Carpenter; Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Simone Spira, and Kfir Goldberg for OBB Pictures, and Sarah Carpenter, Bill Perlman, and Janelle Lopez Genzink.
“Sabrina’s vision to subvert the classic holiday special has been clear since day one,” said Michael D. Ratner, executive producer and founder/CEO of OBB Media. “At OBB, we partner with the world’s most captivating artists to reimagine the expected, and we’re proud of the work by our entire team and want to highlight Simone Spira, the Volara team, Sam Wrench, Nikki Boella, and all involved that brought Sabrina’s vision to life on Netflix.”
