Sony Pictures has brought online the new Bad Boys for Life trailer, which features the return of Will Smith’s Detective Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence’s Detective Marcus Burnett. You can check out the new Bad Boys for Life trailer above and you can still watch the first trailer here.
The third installment, which reunites Will Smith and Martin Lawrence with Joe Pantoliano, also stars Vanessa Hudgens (Second Act, The Princess Switch), Alexander Ludwig (Vikings, The Hunger Games), Charles Melton (Riverdale), Jacob Scipio (Hunter Killer), Paola Nuñez (The Son), Kate Del Castillo (The Book of Life), and Nicky Jam (xXx: Return of Xander Cage).
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Bad Boys for Life centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith).
Hudgens, Ludwig, and Melton play a modern, highly-specialized police unit that collides with the old school bad boys (Smith and Lawrence). Nuñez plays Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend – and the one who got away.
The screenplay is by Joe Carnahan and Chris Bremner. Jerry Bruckheimer is back again to produce the film with Smith. Doug Belgrad, Barry Waldman, Chad Oman, and Mike Stenson are the executive producers.
Bad Boys hit theaters in April 1995 and grossed $141.4 million worldwide, while Bad Boys II reached $273 million globally in 2003. Both those films were directed by Michael Bay.
