Produced by VIS, the international studio division of Paramount, the series will premiere in the U.S., Canada and Australia on Thursday, August 18, with all ten episodes in Spanish and dubbed in English, exclusively on Paramount+.

When You Least Expect It will also air on Paramount+ in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France upon the service’s launch in those regions.
Created by Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor (Honeymoon with My Mother), the series explores the healing journey of five strangers, each dealing with the loss of a loved one, whose lives intersect in a group therapy session.

The feel-good drama recounts the moments that derive from death while optimistically portraying how, despite the wounds, it is possible to laugh, love, and, most importantly, live again.
The cast includes Erick Elías (100 Días Para Enamorarnos, Betty en NY) as Pardo, a Mexican rock musician who now has to care for his children whom he barely knows, and Marta Hazas (Velvet, Pequeñas Coincidencias) as Sara, a mother and doctor who has lost the love of her life and whose 8-year-old son is obsessed with death.

Also starring are Blanca Portillo (Los Abrazos Rotos, Maixabel) as Dr. Laforet, a psychologist with unconventional methods, and Francesc Orella (Merlí, Inés del Alma Mía) as Luis, a successful businessman who thinks he has everything under control.
The cast is rounded out by Alba Planas (Express, Skam) as Graci, a college student with her whole life ahead of her forced to abide by a life-changing promise she made to her dying boyfriend.

Paramount Global is one of the leading producers of Spanish-language content in the world. In addition to When You Least Expect It, Paramount+ has exclusively debuted several scripted premium and library Spanish-language originals produced by VIS in the United States.
Other shows include Cecilia and The Envoys, which will both return for a second season, and Parot.
