WandaVision Release Date Set for January 2021

-

Marvel Studios today announced that the WandaVision release date has been set for January 15, 2021 on the Disney+ streaming service. The WandaVision release date announcement came in the form of a motion poster, which you can view below.

WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. You can view the previously-released WandaVision trailer and poster below as well.

Marvel Studios’ WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) — two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives — begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Also starring in the series are Kat Dennings and Randall Park who will reprise their roles from Thor and Ant-Man and The Wasp, Teyonah Parris is playing a grown-up version of Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn has been cast as a new character in the series.

The new series is directed by Matt Shakman and Jac Schaeffer is the head writer.

Also coming to Disney+ from Marvel Studios are series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and What If…?

Coming in 2021, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier pairs up two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular heroes — Sam Wilson aka The Falcon and Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier — in a series of action-filled adventures as they fight together against evil after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Anthony Mackie (The Falcon), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter), and Wyatt Russell (John Walker) will star.

The Disney+ series will be directed by Kari Skogland, the Emmy-nominated, BAFTA award-winning director, showrunner and CEO of Mad Rabbit. Her credits include episodes of The Handmaid’s TaleNOS4A2The Rook, The Loudest VoiceThe Walking Dead and much more. Malcolm Spellman is writing the series.

In Marvel Studios’ Loki, the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. The series debuts on Disney+ in 2021.
