Walker, a reimagining of the long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger, stars Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin, TX, after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.

In the upcoming third season finale airing Thursday, May 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET/PT), it’s a big day for the Texas Rangers and the Walker clan as friends and family gather to celebrate a very special event.

The third season of the show is produced by CBS Studios in association with Rideback. Anna Fricke serves as showrunner and executive producer.

Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, Jared Padalecki, Steve Robin and Russel Friend also serve as executive producers.

At the same time there’s good news for the Walker team, The CW has also canceled origin story Walker Independence, which was set in the late 1800s. The series, which starred Matt Barr and Katherine McNamara, was also from CBS Studios.

Independence was executive produced by Seamus Kevin Fahey, Anne Frick and Laura Terry of Pursued by a Bear, Jared Padalecki, Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore of Rideback, and Larry Teng.
