Villains Trailer and Poster with Bill Skarsgård and Maika Monroe

Gunpowder & Sky’s Alter has debuted the trailer and poster for Villains, starring Bill Skarsgård, Maika Monroe, Jeffrey Donovan and Kyra Sedgwick. Written and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, the movie is opening in theaters on September 20, 2019.

Mickey and Jules are lovers on the run, headed southbound for a fresh start in the Sunshine State. When their car dies after a gas station robbery, they break into a nearby house looking for a new set of wheels. What they find instead is a dark secret and a sweet-as-pie pair of homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.

Villains was co-produced by BRON Studios, Star Thrower Entertainment, Creative Wealth Media Finance and The Realm Films.

The movie, which 89 minutes long, is rated R for “language throughout, some violence, drug use and sexual content.”

Alter is Gunpowder & Sky’s horror brand that explores the human condition through warped perspectives. Alter’s upcoming studio projects include the series 50 States of Fear with Jeffrey Katzenberg’s Quibi, executive produced by genre legend Sam Raimi.

Skarsgård will first be seen returning the title villain role in It Chapter Two, which is opening in theaters on September 6. Monroe can be seen in the upcoming Honey Boy with Shia LaBeouf.
