Vanessa Hudgens to Return in The Princess Switch: Switched Again

Netflix announced today that Vanessa Hudgens will return as star and producer for The Princess Switch: Switched Again, a sequel to the streaming service’s romantic comedy that was released on November 16, 2018. Filming will start in the UK in November 2019 for a 2020 release.

In the first movie, Margaret (Vanessa Hudgens), the gorgeous Duchess of Montenaro, switches places with Stacy (also Hudgens), a “commoner” from Chicago, who looks exactly like her one week before Christmas. With the assistance of a magical Santa’s helper, Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s handsome co-worker, while Stacy falls in love with Margaret’s fiance, the dashing Prince.

In the sequel, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne and hits a rough patch with Kevin, so it’s up to Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike — party girl Fiona — foils their plans.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again will again be directed by Mike Rohl from a screenplay by Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger. The executive producers include Amanda Phillips Atkins, Eric Jarboe, and Robin Bernheim, while the producers are Brad Krevoy, Hudgens, Steven McGlothen, and AJ Raich. The production companies include Motion Picture Corporation of America and Brad Krevoy Productions.
