The six posters feature characters from Episode I of the innovative Star Wars VR experience, including the Black Bishop, Darth Vader, Admiral Karius, Mustafarian Priestess, Vylip, and ZO-E3. A limited amount of the posters will be available each day of the show at the Lucasfilm pavilion (booth #2913) — but the Sith Lord won’t be so easy to capture. You’ll have to attend ILMxLAB’s “Star Wars Stories” panel on Friday to obtain the Darth Vader poster.
The “Step Inside ILMxLAB’s Star Wars Stories” panel will take place on Friday at 4:00 p.m. in Room 7AB at Comic-Con. At the panel, ILMxLAB is taking Star Wars fans on immersive journeys to a galaxy far, far away. Ben Snow (director), Jose Perez III (senior experience designer), Alyssa Finley (senior producer), and Sarah Barrick (production coordinator) will give attendees a look back at these incredible adventures and a sneak peek at Vader Immortal Episode II.
The first episode was written by David S. Goyer, an award-winning executive producer and writer. The series takes place on the lava planet Mustafar between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and features a unique combination of immersive cinematic storytelling and dramatic interactive play. You’ll go inside Vader’s fortress, first seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is set in the fiery wasteland the Sith Lord calls home.
Set up by the events of the hyper-reality story Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, ILMxLAB is focused on connecting the broader narrative between home- and location-based VR experiences, a first for the virtual reality industry.
