Uma Thurman to Star in Apple TV+ Series Suspicion

Apple has ordered Suspicion, a new drama series starring Academy Award-nominated actress Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction). Thurman has previously appeared in such TV series as SmashThe Slap, and Impostors.

Her feature film credits include Quentin Tarantino films Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. Vol 1 and Vol. 2. She has also starred in Dangerous LiaisonsHenry & June, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Batman & Robin, Gattaca, Les Misérables, The Producers, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Nymphomaniac, and The House That Jack Built.

Suspicion is a high-paced thriller about the kidnapping of the son of a prominent American businesswoman, played by Uma Thurman. 21-year-old Leo’s abduction from a large, upmarket hotel in central New York is captured on video and goes viral.

Swiftly, four British citizens staying at the hotel become the prime suspects. But are they guilty of anymore than being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

In addition to Uma Thurman, the new series will star Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Georgina Campbell (Black Mirror), Elyes Gabel (Scorpion), Elizabeth Henstridge (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Angel Coulby (Dancing on the Edge).

Rob Williams will serve as showrunner. The series is directed by Golden Globe winner Chris Long and produced by Darin McLeod.

Williams and Long will also serve as executive producers on the project, along with Howard Burch for Keshet Productions, Avi Nir for Keshet Media Group, Anna Winger (Deutschland 83, Deutschland 86) and Liat Benasuly (Fauda).

Suspicion is based on the award-winning Israeli series False Flag from Keshet Broadcasting, created by Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman.

The series will be produced out of the UK by Keshet Productions, Keshet International’s UK production arm, and joins upcoming international Apple Originals including Trying, Slow Horses, Masters of the Air, Pachinko and more.

The new series will premiere globally on Apple TV+. The streaming service is available on the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices, as well as at, for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
