Marvel Studios has revealed the new Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer, which you can watch using the player below. The new Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer made its debut during NBA Countdown on ESPN today.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, and language.

Simu Li plays the film’s title character, Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.
The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan.

The cast is rounded out by Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige. Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serve as executive producers.

“Shang-Chi’s main problem in his life is rooted in not knowing who he really is,” says Cretton.
“He has to learn how to own every part of himself. If he doesn’t allow himself to look at all of it — the good, the bad, the light and the dark — and to own it all, he won’t be able to reach his full potential.”

David Callaham & Destin Daniel Cretton & Andrew Lanham wrote the screenplay for the anticipated film.
Marvel Studios‘ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to open in theaters on September 3, 2021.

Shang-Chi was first seen in Special Marvel Edition #15 in 1973 and was created by Steven Engelhart and Jim Starlin. Shang-Chi fights unarmed, as well as with weapons like a gun, nunchaku and jian in the wushu style. He can also create duplicates of himself.
Shang-Chi is the son of Fu Manchu and was trained by his father and his father’s instructors in martial arts, eventually realizing that Fu Manchu isn’t a good man. Shang-Chi has also been an Avenger.

Shang-Chi has worked with Iron Fist, The Thing, Spider-Man, Black Widow and Nick Fury, setting the character in a perfect position to join the team as Marvel Studios moves into its next phase.
The character has also also been a member of Heroes for Hire.
