Netflix has announced that Trinkets has been renewed for a second and final season, which will have Sarah Goldfinger (Charmed) as showrunner. The Trinkets final season will launch on the streaming service in 2020. You can watch the announcement for the new season below.
The 10-episode, 30-minute series is based on the young adult novel by Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith, who serves as an executive producer.
When three teenage girls from different corners of the high school cafeteria find themselves in the same mandated Shoplifter’s Anonymous meeting, an unlikely friendship forms. Elodie — the grieving misfit, Moe — the mysterious outsider, and Tabitha — the imperfect picture of perfection, will find strength in each other as they negotiate family issues, high school drama and the complicated dilemma of trying to fit in while longing to break out.
The series stars Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool 2, Tragedy Girls) as Elodie, Kiana Madeira (The Flash, Sacred Lies) as Moe, Quintessa Swindell as Tabitha, Odiseas Georgiadis (The Stand-In, Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets) as Noah, Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why) as Luca, Brandon Butler (13 Reasons Why) as Brady, Larry Sullivan (Big Little Lies, Scandal) as Doug, October Moore (Baskets, Grimm, Portlandia) as Vicky, and Larisa Oleynik (Mad Men, Hawaii Five-O) as Shawn.
Writing and also executive producing are Amy Andelson, Emily Meyer, and Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith. Shelley Zimmerman, Brin Lukens, and Rebecca Glashow executive produce as well.
