First Look at Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip in The Crown

Netflix has released the first photo of Tobias Menzies (The TerrorOutlanderRome) as Prince Philip in The Crown Season 3. Menzies is replacing Matt Smith, who played the younger Prince Philip in the first two seasons.

The Crown Season 3 cast includes Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones, Margaret’s husband, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, and Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother.

The Crown tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world — Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street – and the intrigues, love lives and machinations behind the great events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. Two houses, two courts, one Crown.

The Crown Season 3 will launch in 2019.
