HBO has revealed the first photos from the much-anticipated The Righteous Gemstones Season 2, which will consists of nine new episodes.
The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 will debut on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max this winter, though no specific date has been announced.
The second season of the hit comedy series stars Danny McBride, John Goodman, Adam Devine, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz, Walton Goggins and new recurring stars Jason Schwartzman, Eric Andre and Jessica Lowe.
Season two also stars Skyler Gisondo and Gregory Alan Williams, in addition to new recurring cast member Eric Roberts.
The series is created, written and executive produced by Danny McBride (HBO’s Vice Principals and Eastbound & Down). It marks McBride’s third HBO comedy series from Rough House Pictures.
The Righteous Gemstone tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work. Season two finds our blessed Gemstone family threatened by outsiders from both the past and present who wish to destroy their empire.
The second season is directed and executive produced by McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green. The executive producers also include John Carcieri, Jeff Fradley and Brandon James.
The co-executive producer is Jonathan Watson, the producer is David Brightbill, and the consulting producers are Grant Dekernion, Kevin Barnett, Edi Patterson and Chris Pappas.
