HBO Max has announced the premiere dates for both The Other Two Season 2 and new comedy special, Marlon Wayans: You Know What It Is.
The Other Two Season 2 debuts on its new home with two new episodes Thursday, August 26 on HBO Max. The ten-episode Max Original series continues with two new episodes weekly on September 2, September 9, and September 16, leading up to the final two episodes of the season on September 23.
From MTV Entertainment Studios, The Other Two is created, written and executive produced by former Saturday Night Live co-head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider and stars Drew Tarver (Bajillion Dollar Propertie$), Heléne Yorke (High Maintenance, Masters of Sex), Case Walker, Ken Marino (Party Down) and Molly Shannon (The White Lotus, Divorce).
With their pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Walker), officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of fourteen, Brooke and Cary (Yorke and Tarver) must now contend with a new famous family member: their 53-year-old mother Pat (Shannon), and her eponymous daytime talk show.
Humiliated at being The Other Two yet again, they double down and make it their mission not to be.
The recurring cast members include Brandon Scott Jones as “Curtis,” Gideon Glick as “Jess,” Josh Segarra as “Lance” and Wanda Sykes as “Shuli.”
The guest stars include Ali Ahn, James Anderson, Justin Bartha, Jordana Brewster, Alessia Cara, Marcia DeBonis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Farrell, Jimmy Fowlie, Noah Galvin, Zosia Mamet, Debi Mazar, Derek Peth, Alison Rich, Tuc Watkins, Bowen Yang and Ian Ziering.
The Other Two Season 2 is executive produced by Lorne Michaels; executive produced by Andrew Singer, produced by Eddie Michaels, Toye Adegboro and Kaylani Esparza for Broadway Video; and executive produced by Tony Hernandez for Jax Media.
The directors include Chris Kelly, Sarah Schneider, Kim Nguyen, Mike Karnell and Charlie Gruet.
Season one of The Other Two originally aired on Comedy Central and debuted as a Max Original series in April. All episodes of season one are available to stream on HBO Max.
Actor, writer, producer and comedian Marlon Wayans is exploring his greatest fears in his latest comedy special, Marlon Wayans: You Know What It Is, debuting Thursday, August 19 on HBO Max.
What is Marlon’s life-long fear? Exactly what you would expect: people with outie belly buttons. Marlon digs deeper to explore other fears as well, such as raising a daughter, dealing with a rebellious teenage son, and probably his greatest fear, the realization that his bad decisions are what tore his family apart.
Marlon’s journey towards self-awareness can be encapsulated in the simple phrase… “You know what it is.”
Marlon Wayans: You Know What It Is is produced by Ugly Baby Productions and Dakota Pictures. Marlon Wayans, Rick Alvarez, Troy Miller, Michael Rotenberg, and Steve Harris serve as executive producers. This marks the first project to debut through Wayans overall deal with HBO Max.
