The Mole Trailer, Players and Key Art Revealed

Netflix has revealed a first look at its revival of The Mole, the unscripted competition series premiering on the streaming service on October 7, 2022.

The Mole consists of ten 45-minute episodes that will air weekly for a three-week event. The new season is hosted by Alex Wagner, who is the host of Alex Wagner Tonight, which airs Tuesday to Friday at 9 p.m. on MSNBC.

Welcome to a new generation of deception. Twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win. But there’s a catch – one player will sabotage the rest. Who is The Mole?

The Mole is a high-stakes competition series, and in this reimagined version, twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end.

Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated “the Mole” and tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making efforts. In the end, one player will outlast their competition and expose the Mole to win the prize pot.

The series is based on the Belgian format The Mole (original title “De Mol”), created by Bart De Pauw, Michel Vanhove, Michiel Devlieger, and Tom Lenaerts and distributed by Primitives.

From Eureka Productions, the executive producers include Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Rikkie Proost, David Tibballs, and David Burris.

Avori Henderson
Age: 26
Location: Phoenix
Occupation: Professional Gamer

Profile: Avori hails from a small town in Springfield, Illinois, and has always been drawn to the thrill of competition. At 17, Avori was set to compete at the state level for the Miss Missouri beauty pageant when she got an incredible opportunity to play in a gaming tournament on Team USA after a video she uploaded went viral. Finding herself the only woman competing with 55 men, Avori knew that this was where she was supposed to be. Since then, she’s become well-known in the gaming world.

Avori is confident that being a professional gamer will give her a leg up in this competition. She’s always coming up with new gaming strategies, as well as analyzing players, ammunition, tactical equipment, and her surroundings.

Casey Lary
Age: 39
Location: Chico, California
Occupation: COVID ICU Nurse

Profile: Born and raised in Northern California, Casey has had a busy few years as a Covid ICU nurse. Before that, she was an English teacher in Japan, a recruiter in Silicon Valley, and an advertising project manager. Being a COVID ICU nurse has taught Casey how to lead a team, react quickly, keep composure, and learn new skills while making life-or-death decisions.

Casey is an avid athlete and is always training for the next triathlon or competition. She completed the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon and successfully swam from “the Rock” to shore in a 1.5-mile swim followed by a 20-mile bike ride and a 6-mile run through the hills of San Francisco.

Dom Gabriel
Age: 29
Location: Toronto
Occupation: Heavy Machine Operator

Profile: Dom Gabriel was raised by a single mother, who he says is now his best friend. Growing up, Dom wanted to prove he could excel at everything from boxing to lyrical dance. He’s 6 foot 4 inches, well built, and covered in tattoos, but inside, Dom is really a softy with a nerdy side. You can often find him on the couch catching up on comics or anime.

Dom works at a Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream factory, where he hauls heavy loads of ice cream all day long. The factory has to be kept at freezing temperatures, so Dom has to completely suit up in winter clothes and take 20-minute breaks so that he can stay safe. He’s ready to get out of the freezer and into the Australian Outback.

Greg Shapiro
Age: 32
Location: Seattle
Occupation: Marketing Consultant

Profile: Quick-witted Greg grew up on the Jersey Shore and graduated top of his class both in high school and college. He proudly proclaims that he was raised by strong Jewish parents. Though he’s thankful for the NYC street smarts gained throughout his career, Greg is actually a free-spirited adventure seeker who’s used to surviving in foreign environments. He’s traveled to over 40 countries and backpacked all over the world.

Greg works as a market research consultant behind his computer and refers to himself as a “professional troll.” He says the marketing role has taught him how to read people well, as he spends his days figuring out if they’re lying. He’s confident that he’ll be able to gain people’s trust and use that to his advantage to take it to the end.

Jacob Hacker
Age: 29
Location: Bloomville, Ohio
Occupation: Firefighter Paramedic Lieutenant

Profile: Jacob is an all-American guy who hopes his Midwestern charm and unwavering loyalty will help him succeed in The Mole. Born and raised in the country in a small village in Ohio, Jacob is the youngest in his family. After receiving his EMT certification, he went on to complete his firefighter and paramedic training and has been an essential part of his local firehouse for the last eight years.

Recently, Jacob tragically lost his father to a heart attack. In response, Jacob has lost over 65 pounds in the past five years as part of his fitness journey. He works out six to eight times a week and has even become somewhat of an amateur weight lifter. Jacob is your typical blue-collar boy who enjoys wading out in the swamp, hunting, fishing, drinking a beer with his friends and family, riding his Harley, and working on his ’91 Jeep Wrangler.

Joi Schweitzer
Age: 40
Location: Atlanta
Occupation: Commercial Airline Pilot

Profile: Black women represent less than 1% of professional pilots — and Joi is one of them. When Joi’s father, a retired aircraft mechanic, sat her behind the controls of a military aircraft, she immediately knew being in the pilot’s seat was her calling. After she graduated from Georgia State with a degree in psychology, Joi supported herself through flight school while working as a flight attendant.

When Joi isn’t flying, she’s a wife and mother, which also has motivated her to pursue a career as a health and fitness coach. Her own struggle with weight loss after giving birth fueled her to live a healthy lifestyle, and she wanted to help other moms achieve that as well. Joi knows if she can control and manipulate a 200,000-pound aircraft, there’s no doubt she can control her competition in The Mole.

Kesi Neblett
Age: 27
Location: New York City
Occupation: Software Developer

Profile: Kesi grew up with four brothers and sisters in the backcountry of Kentucky. Their parents, two civil rights activists, took them on road trips during school weeks and showed Kesi how to be spontaneous.

After obtaining an engineering degree at Columbia University (where she also captained a Division 1 volleyball team), Kesi landed a software development job at Goldman Sachs. She implemented infrastructure solutions across Goldman’s entire business technology and became one of the top 10% of associates in 2020. Since resigning from Goldman in March of 2021, Kesi has traveled to Mexico, Hawaii, and New York. She spends her days surfing, playing beach volleyball, biking, reading, and writing.

Osei White
Age: 32
Location: Brooklyn
Occupation: Real Estate Agent

Profile: Born and raised in New YorkOsei is the eldest in a family of 15 children. Osei has always been known as the class clown or the “funny kid.”

Having worked a variety of odd jobs, Osei is highly adaptive and can thrive in almost any environment. He recently got his real estate license and is ready to embark on a new career path. Throughout his life, he’s relied on his charisma to smooth-talk his way out of sticky situations, and he plans on doing exactly that in this competition to earn the win.

Pranav Patel
Age: 29
Location: Boston
Occupation: Law Firm Associate

Profile: Growing up in New Jersey, Pranav was fascinated with all things related to physics and space and dreamed of becoming an astronaut. Pranav excelled in school and varsity athletics and went on to major in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University, where he also discovered a love of dance. After completing his undergraduate studies, Pranav moved to Gainesville, Florida, to attend the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He graduated in 2022 and moved to Boston to work at an intellectual property law firm.

In 2018, Pranav and two of his close friends created a new touring dance company, AfroDesi, which blends Afro and Indo music and movement. So far, he and his team have completed multiple national and international tours spanning four continents. Intelligent, athletic, and adaptable, Pranav believes that the power of knowledge will help him dominate his competition.

Samara Joy
Age: 25
Location: Atlanta
Occupation: Mental Health Counselor

Profile: Samara was born and raised in a small town in Maryland where everyone knew everyone else. She’s one of seven siblings and was raised by a single and hardworking mother, an EMT and 911 dispatcher who she considers her ultimate hero and cheerleader. Samara attended West Virginia University and then moved to Atlanta to begin a modeling career and earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology.

Currently, Samara works as a mental health counselor with at-risk LGBTQ teens. She’s confident that, with her background in psychology and strong communication skills, she will easily be able to figure out who the mole is. Samara exercises regularly, loves anything to do with adventure, and considers herself a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

Sandy Ronquillo
Age: 26
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Occupation: ABA Therapist

Profile: A Texan girl at heart, Sandy was born in Fort Worth and was raised by her father. When Sandy was just seven, her mother was abducted and has not been seen since. Not only have police continued to pursue this case, but Sandy has also done some investigative work of her own — though no new information has yet come to light. Sandy is extremely independent and confidently goes after what she wants. Through the highs and lows, she makes sure to keep God first.

As an ABA professional, Sandy provides behavioral therapy to children who have autism spectrum disorder. Her patience and warm heart calm those around her. A natural leader, Sandy has the beauty and the brains to maneuver her way through this game and make it to the end.

William Richardson
Age: 29
Location: Henderson, Nevada
Occupation: Lifestyle Brand Manager

Profile: Will was born and raised in Las Vegas, and from a young age, it was obvious he was going to be an athlete. He played a number of sports, and he fulfilled his dream of playing baseball in college. After graduation, Will wanted to continue his involvement with sports and now works as a lifestyle brand manager for athletes.

Will still trains like a professional athlete and can often be found at the gym. Physically, he’s a force to be reckoned with — he’s 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, with long blond hair and the looks of Thor. Will loves adventure and will do anything for the people he is closest to.
