We’ve seen the official trailer, but now Disney+ has also brought online the first The Mandalorian Season 2 TV spot. The second season of the popular series will premiere on the streaming service October 30.
In the second season, The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serving as co- executive producers. The writers for this season are Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa.
Temuera Morrison is joining the second season as Boba Fett. The actor previously played Jango Fett and his clone troopers in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as the clone troopers in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
It was also previously announced that Michael Biehn is playing what is said to be a bounty hunter, and Rosario Dawson is expected to play fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano.
The first season premiered on the streaming service on November 12, 2019 and was a major success for Disney+.
The first season is officially described as follows: “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
