With the third episode launching on Disney+ shortly, Lucasfilm has been releasing some great The Mandalorian concept art. You can view concept art from the first two episodes in the gallery below.
CNBC is also reporting that the first merchandise featuring the much-talked-about “The Child” (as Lucasfilm calls the baby – fans prefer “Baby Yoda”) will be arriving before the holidays at stores like Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic and Box Lunch. In fact, two T-shirts have already hit Amazon and can be bought here and here. Lucasfilm tried to keep the character under wraps as long as possible to avoid fans getting spoiled before they watched the first episode.
The Mandalorian is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode and serving as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Ming-Na Wen (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Nick Nolte (Warrior).
Work is already underway on a second season of the series.
