Netflix has revealed the first trailer and key art for The Last Letter From Your Lover, the adaptation coming to the streaming service on July 23, 2021.
The movie, starring Felicity Jones, Callum Turner, Joe Alwyn, Nabhaan Rizwan and Shailene Woodley, is directed by Augustine Frizzell (Euphoria, Never Goin’ Back) from a script by Nick Payne and Esta Spalding.

A pair of interwoven stories set in the present and past, The Last Letter From Your Lover follows Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones), an ambitious journalist who discovers a trove of secret love letters from 1965 and becomes determined to solve the mystery of the forbidden affair at their center.
As she uncovers the story behind Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley), the wife of a wealthy industrialist, and Anthony O’Hare (Callum Turner) the financial journalist assigned to cover him, a love story of Ellie’s own begins to unfold with the assistance of an earnest and endearing archivist (Nabhaan Rizwan) who helps her track down more letters.

The film is based on the novel by JoJo Moyes (buy at Amazon). Moyes’ beloved novel has sold over three million copies worldwide and has been translated into 33 languages.
The producers are Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent of Blueprint Pictures, and Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss of The Film Farm.

Netflix previously acquired worldwide rights to The Last Letter from Your Lover, outside of StudioCanal territories.
StudioCanal will release the film in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and StudioCanal’s output partner Svensk will distribute the film in Scandinavia.
