The King’s Man to Hit Theaters in February 2020

20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Studios announced today that the prequel to the Kingsman franchise, entitled The King’s Man, will hit theaters in February 2020. Taron Egerton will not appear in the film.

Matthew Vaughn is returning to write and direct the new movie, which was previously said to be a spin-off titled Kingsman: The Great Game.

Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman in 2014. In 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge when their headquarters is destroyed and the world is held hostage. Their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, and these two elite, secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy in order to save the world.

The Secret Service cost $81 million to make and grossed $414.4 million worldwide, while The Golden Circle cost $104 million and earned $410.9 million globally.
