There’s More Than Meets the Eye in The Guilty Trailer

Netflix has revealed the official The Guilty trailer, which gives you a first look at the thriller opening in select theaters on September 24 and coming to the streaming service on October 1. You can watch The Guilty trailer using the player below!

The Guilty is rated R for language throughout. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Southpaw, The Magnificent Seven), the movie was written and executive produced by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective).

There's More Than Meets the Eye in The Guilty Trailer

The movie takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Bayler (Jake Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger – but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.

The movie is based on the Gustav Moller-directed Danish drama Den Skyldige.

The film also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Riley Keough, Byron Bowers, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David Castañeda, Christina Vidal, Paul Dano, Ethan Hawke, Adrian Martinez, Bill Burr, Beau Knapp, and Edi Patterson.

The producers include Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker for Nine Stories; Fuqua and Kat Samick for Fuqua Films; Scott Greenberg; Bold Film’s Michel Litvak, Gary Michael Walters, David Litvak and Svetlana Metkina; and Amet Entertainment’s David Haring.

The executive producers are Annie Marter, Gustav Moller, Lina Flint, Christian Mercuri, Jon Oakes and Eric Greenfeld.

Audiences were previously encouraged to discover the thrilling mystery of The Guilty by calling a phone number (507-SAVE-HER) and hearing the first heart-stopping phone call between 911 operator Joey Baylor and a cryptic woman named Emily.

Whether by looking at the sky in LA and OC, or following clues on Instagram, fans were able to dive into the world of The Guilty.
