Lionsgate announced today that the studio has reteamed with Millennium Media on another installment of The Expendables saga that will once again reunite top action stars. Lionsgate will release the film in the US, Canada, and the UK. The announcement was made today by Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.
Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries are Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Sylvester Stallone, who will all reprise their roles as Lee Christmas, Gunner Jensen, Toll Road, and Barney Ross respectively. In addition, actors Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, and Tony Jaa are set to join the franchise in new roles.
The film will begin production this fall and is being directed by Scott Waugh from a screenplay by Spenser Cohen with revisions by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly.

It’s so much fun to bring these stars together for a no-holds-barred action film. The new film will raise the stakes and be the biggest, most badass adventure yet.”

Jason Statham most recently starred in Wrath of Man and appeared in F9. He will next reteam with director Guy Ritchie for an untitled film. He is represented by Patrick Knapp of GGSSC.
Sylvester Stallone most recently voiced the role of King Shark in The Suicide Squad. He has completed filming on the superhero film Samaritan, which MGM has slated for release next year. He is represented by CAA.
Dolph Lundgren reprised his role as Ivan Drago in Creed II and starred as King Nereus in Aquaman. His upcoming films include Minions: The Rise of Gru. He is represented by Gersh, Wonder Street, and Bloom Hergott.
Randy Couture’s upcoming films include Blowback. He is represented by Gersh and Xtreme Couture Management.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has carved out a thriving television and film career as both a best in class producer and star. In 2005, he founded G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. which has produced a wide variety of content across numerous platforms and sold a myriad of shows to various networks. Among these is the critically-acclaimed #1 show on Starz, Power, in which he not only co-starred in but also served as executive producer and director. Jackson is represented by APA and attorneys Eric Feig and Stephen Savva.
Megan Fox recently starred in the thriller Till Death, garnering global critical acclaim and reaching #2 on iTunes. She also co-stars in Night Teeth, coming out on Netflix in October, and stars in the upcoming independent film Big Gold Brick opposite Andy Garcia and Oscar Isaac. She is represented by ICM Partners and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Tony Jaa most recently starred in Monster Hunter and in the Chinese blockbuster Detective Chinatown 3. He is represented by Gersh, manager Michael Selby, manager Craig Baumgarten at Wonder Street, and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson.
Scott Waugh previously directed such action hits as Act of Valor and Need for Speed and most recently directed Snafu, which is currently in post-production and stars John Cena and Jackie Chan.
The new The Expendables installment is produced by Jason Statham, Kevin King Templeton, and Les Weldon Yariv Lerner, Jeffrey Greenstein, and Jonathan Yunger on behalf of Millennium Media. The executive producers for Millennium Media are Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson and Trevor Short with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman on behalf of Campbell Grobman Films. The co-producer is Abby Mills. Eda Kowan and Jonah Leach will oversee the film for Lionsgate.
